Fireball Z is a deceptively simple single-player game that challenges the consistency of your hand-eye coordination to block a relentless fireball from getting beyond a forcefield boundary.
The object of the game is to move a forcefield to block a fireball as long as possible without losing all of your game lives.
The are ten levels of game play in the Fireball Z game.
Completing all ten levels will challenge you in ways you have not been challenged.
During those ten levels you will experience accomplishment, you will experience frustration, you will cheer, you will laugh, you will growl. You will have fun!
Each level in the Fireball Z game has five rounds that get successively faster and harder as the fireball and forcefield get smaller.
At the start of a new game, you are granted three game lives.
When your game lives reach zero, the game is over.
Or is it?
The answer depends on how Fireball Z is configured to play.
Fireball Z has two game play modes.
When Fireball Z is configured to play in default mode, the answer is yes, when reaching zero games lives, the game is most definitely over.
But when Fireball Z is configured to trade game points for game lives, the answer is absolutely not.
Because all things do eventually end, the answer is when your game points and lives reach zero, the game is really over.
Fireball Z uses Game Center to show you how well stack up against other Fireball Z players around the world.
Some notes about Game Center leaderboards and achievements...
There are two Fireball Z leaderboards used to rank players.
If you play Fireball Z in default mode, your game points are displayed.
If you play Fireball Z in trade game points for game lives mode, your forcefield hits are displayed.
There are ten Fireball Z achievements.
To win an achievement all you have to do is not lose a game life. Ever. You must play a perfect game level to win an achievement. Impossible?
So, if you reach level two with your three game lives, you are awarded an achievement (and a game life).
If you reach level three with your four game lives, you are awarded another achievement (and a game life).
The achievement awards continue as you play the perfect game.
